Blurb

Jaden Matthews has never known his father or his father's family, but he's about to get a crash course on having siblings. With the recent passing of his grandmother, he's discovered he has three half-brothers and part ownership of a gym. In Serenity, Florida. His life in New York has hit a rocky road, so maybe this is the vacation he needs to get things back on track.

Chase Michaels lost his future in a car crash almost ten years ago, and he's made a new one for himself in Serenity. One that doesn't include getting emotionally involved with people who are just passing through. But Jaden makes his common sense flee and his gut react. He's got one month with the man who made him believe in taking a chance.

Carra's Review

Jaden is uncomfortable in the situation he’s found himself, meeting half brothers he didn’t know he had and being in a very small town that’s nothing like the big, bustling city he’s used to.  He’s awkward and nervous, and certainly doesn’t expect to fall for someone there.  Chase is a heck of a lot more comfortable with where he is, if not how he wound up getting there.

Besides the development of Jaden and Chase’s relationship, we also get to see Jaden’ relationship with his newly found brothers evolve, which I thought was a nice way to round out Jaden’s story.  He’s not only growing with Chase, but also with Elliot, Phoenix and Zane as well.  There’s also some funny scenes (I wound up snort-laughing at the raccoon dilemma), and Jaden adjusting to small-town life that I loved.  All of the characters come across as genuine and with well developed, distinct personalities.

Jaden and Chase’s story is sweet and satisfying, and I loved the setting of Serenity—being a Florida native I could relate to that pretty easily.  There's not a lot of angst to be found in this book, which makes this one I’d recommend for readers looking for a sweet, easy love story.  Finding Home gets 4.5 stars from me!  From the cute way the two meet (love Jaden’s conversation with the dispatcher on the phone) to the end, this was a great way to spend some time with interesting characters who felt real, in a story that just made me feel comfortable and happy as I read it.
