Unprepared, ill-equipped, and with no example to look back on, Ty and Chase embarked on a journey to build a family for Ava and Luc that would far exceed anything they dreamed of for themselves. Two years later, they’ve succeeded beyond their wildest expectations, but there’s still a couple of things missing…and they’re ready to make them happen.

Bad boy biker Trick wouldn’t hesitate to fight for those he loves, but Ty knows it will take more than violence to win this war. Willfully submissive Chase has the utmost faith in his Master, but when he sees Ty struggling with demons from his past, it will be his quiet, unbending support that will see them through. Jumping through the loopholes of family court, they are only one event shy of making it all official and neither are willing to wait another second to check it off the list.

Clearing the path for adoption should reassure them, but it will take their cast of well-meaning friends and the occasional slap upside the head before they realize that the ties that bind them together are forged in a love that can never be taken away.

Chase’s grin was quick and dirty. “Best night of my life.”
On the surface, that feeling mirrored his own and should have been enough, but the resurrection of a fear he thought he’d put to rest left him off balance. Once he realized the solution, he wouldn’t wait another day to implement it, but now he needed to know Chase’s reasons for feeling that way.
“Why?” His serious question wiped away that smile and Ty quickly tightened his hold. He hadn’t meant to worry Chase and he understood that this was a selfish exercise in making himself feel better, but he wouldn’t be content until he got an answer. “Tell me why.”
“Because that night brought me you and this wonderful life. We were practically strangers, yet you saved my life and then showed me what it meant to be cared for. I know my mother loved me, but she didn’t know how to care for herself, much less a child and my former…Joe was only providing enough to make me beholden because he needed help.” Chase shivered as if remembering those times left him cold and it gave Ty a perverse sense of satisfaction to know there was no room in that soft heart for the selfish bastard.
“I’m sorry he treated you so badly, but if it hadn’t been for his club, our paths may have never crossed.” More often than not, knowing how neglected Chase had been made him feel murderous, but that was a truth they could both be grateful for.
“You’re absolutely right.” Dawning realization filled that dual gaze. He should have been ashamed by how easily Chase saw through him, but there was no one else he trusted more. “Working at the club, I thought I understood the relationship between Master and sub, but I couldn’t have imagined you. A Master who gave more than he took. A man who would demand my pleasure and happiness, while worrying over my safety and well-being. From that first night, you treated me as more than a submissive to be ordered about and along the way, you showed me that I was your lover and partner, your equal.”
“That’s because you’re all those things and more.” Chase was everything good in his world. Even Ava and Luc wouldn’t have been found if not for Chase’s steadfast loyalty and determination.

Carra's Review

The previous books in this series were all about the suspense and intense relationships.  Here in Tys That Bind, we get the emotional side of what comes next as Ty and Chase are solidifying their family
I absolutely adored Ty and Chase in Tricking Chase, and their story really stuck with me.  This time around, it's not a time for action and danger, it's a time for reinforcing love, commitment, and what they mean to each other-and what having Ava and Luc become permanently their together means to them.  We get to see both Ty/Trick's and Chase's roles being strengthened and the pure devotion and protective natures they have for each other.  Tys That Bind is not about the naughty stuff-while you get a taste of it, it's incidental to the plot and not the focal point.
No, here it's all about love and family, and tying up Ty and Chase's life with the cherry on top-Ava and Luc.  The scene in the courtroom as Ava and Luc's adoption is being finalized is quite moving, especially to me as I was adopted as well.  We also get to see things from both Ty and Chase's points of view, which did make the story stronger for me as a reader.
I would strongly recommend at least reading Tricking Chase first before reading Tys That Bind, otherwise you will most likely be lost in the characters' interactions and relationships (don't worry--it's an awesome story!).  This story is the kind that wraps up the characters in a sweet bow, but without feeling sappy or like it's too much.  I'm giving Tys That Bind 4.5 stars, and would definitely recommend it as a follow up to the series.  Even though the naughty stuff is rather sparse in this book, there is still some there and is enough to still make this for readers 18+.

About Jessie G

Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters, and series filled with families—biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.
